In Loving Memory of Phyllis “Louise” Goodwin

Phyllis “Louise” (Coger) Goodwin, 66, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on September 23, 2026. She was born March 20, 1960, to Arden and Phyllis (Ackley) Coger in Battle Creek and lived in the area her whole life. Louise attended Southeastern Junior High School and later earned her GED through the Miller Stone Building.

Louise married the love of her life, James “Jim” Goodwin, on March 22, 1976. He preceded her in death in 2015. Louise is survived by her three sons, Travis (Samantha) Goodwin, Carl (Nicole) Goodwin, and Jimmy Goodwin; nine grandchildren; brothers, Arden Coger and Darrell Coger; and sister, Dawn Bennett.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Albert Coger.

Her memory will live on through the family and loved ones who cherished her.

Per Louise’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post #257, 7475 B.
