Rachel LaDonna Douglas

Rachel LaDonna (Palmer) Douglas age 75 of Battle Creek, died Sunday March 5, 2023 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born April 7, 1947 in Battle Creek, MI daughter of Arliff and Donna (Babcock) Palmer. At age 16 she married Dewey “Beecher” Hickman and they started their family. The marriage ended in divorce. Rachel loved spending time with her family, going for rides and cuddling with her kitty. She loved her kids and grandkids more than anything and would give them her last penny if she thought they needed it. She is survived by her children LaDonna Vary, Teresa (Kevin) Lee, April Blackstone, Raqueel Hickman, 8 grandkids, 9 great grandkids, sisters Judy (Willis) Brown, Ardith Oliver, Ruth Ann Palmer, brother Rick Palmer and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,  a daughter Tammy Hickman, sister Shirley McBride and brother Arliff Palmer Jr. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Richard A.
