David Roy MacDonald, known lovingly as “Sandy,” passed away peacefully at his home on March 24, surrounded by his devoted wife and their four daughters. His final moments were filled with love, prayer, and family, everything that truly defined his life.
David was united in marriage to Rose Mary Revior on June 12, 1965, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in faith, commitment, and deep affection. Together, they raised four daughters who were his pride and joy: Mary (Timothy) Southwick, Rebecca (Charles) Pechota, Deborah (Kenneth) Dack, Sarah (Larry) Weeks and former son-in-law Raymond Slade.
He was a loving grandfather to Caitlynn, Josephine, Keagan, Nicholas, Erik, Victoria, Delaney, Sydney, and Gabriel, each of whom brought him immense happiness. David was also blessed with great‑grandchildren Tucker, Sadie, and Wrenley, who brightened his later years with their smiles and laughter.
David proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1963. After completing his military service, he devoted the next 60 years to serving the Lord. Answering God’s call to ministry, he spent his life pastoring and sharing the message of Jesus with all who crossed his path. His heart for ministry, gentle guidance, and unwavering faith touched countless lives. He retired in March 2026 from Abundant Life Fellowship Ministries after 25 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy (“Sandy Mac”) MacDonald and Mary (Haley) MacDonald, as well as his grandparents, Duncan and Mary Ellen MacDonald.
David will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his deep love for his family, and his lifelong commitment to serving others. His legacy continues through the generations who loved him and the many lives he influenced with his kindness and devotion.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Rhema Word Outreach Center, 21342 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
