Richard E. Graves, 64, of Battle Creek MI, passed away January 8th, 2026. He was born October 10th 1961 to Marilyn and William Graves. Rick attended Lakeview High School and graduated in the class of 1979.
Rick recently retired as a Break Technician from Bendix/Spicer after over 25 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, cheering on the UofM football team, and taking trips around the country with his friends. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved being a Papa and loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren. He was always willing to help others in any way he could and was known for his generous spirit. He especially loved volunteering his time at Station 66, where he helped with the Car shows and supported his community. He enjoyed traveling to music festivals, baseball games and listening to Van Halen. He was also a member of St. Philip Catholic Church.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Marilyn and William Graves and his sisters Nancy Graves and Kathy (Graves) Zajac.
He is survived by his daughters Karissa (Graves) and Aaron Monzo and Abbey (Graves) and Jeffrey Bradley; and his beloved grandchildren Lucas, Zachary and Avery Monzo and Zoey and Austin Bradley.
Rick will be remembered for his kindness, his love of family and friends and the countless ways he gave his time and attention to those around him.
A celebration of life will be planned in the near future.
