Robert M. Rathburn

Robert M Rathburn, (Bob) passed away peacefully June 22, 2023 with family by his side.  He was born to Robert L and Anna Rathburn (Schmid)  on October 23, 1946.  He lived his entire life in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1964.  He started his career at Clarks and also worked at Eaton Manufacturing. He was co-owner of Fin and Feather Marina in Portage Michigan and retired from Denso as a machinist. Those of you that knew Bob well, knew that Bob never let the facts get in the way of telling a great story.  He was just an all around good guy . Bob had many skills and could fix anything and was  willing to help anyone.  He had several friends throughout the area.  He will be missed by many who knew and loved him.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survived by wife and good friend, Paula Hawkins. Family  members, brother Richard Rathburn (Sandy) of Sun Lakes AZ, sister Vickie Bell (Ken) of East Leroy and nephews  Jerry Rathburn, James Rathburn, Jason Gibson and niece Shannon Daly  and several great nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made to the charity of your choice.  Cremation has taken place and he requested their be no services.  Celebrate his life with your memories of him.
