Ryan D. Edger

Ryan D. Edger, age 40, of Battle Creek, passed away on February 27, 2023, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on April 26, 1982 in Battle Creek, the son of Kenneth D. Edger Jr. and Lenore G. Murphy.  Ryan was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek, and attended Battle Creek Public Schools.  He was employed as a lead construction engineer at WestRock in Battle Creek.  He enjoyed playing chess, music, working out, body art, video games, going to the casino, animals and spending time with his family and friends.  Ryan was also an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth D. Edger Sr. in 2020.  Surviving are his father; Kenneth D. Edger Jr. of Battle Creek, mother, Lenore G. Murphy of Battle Creek, brothers; Jessey Edger, David Brown, Corey Tibbets, sisters; Kristin (Chad) Whiteaker, Tessela Sayers, and his girlfriend, Amanda Bruno.  Private funeral services will be held, with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.  Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
