Sallie A. Maitre-Bruhns, age 100, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born January 23, 1916 in Maidstone, Ontario, Canada the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Allen) McGuire. Sallie was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph J. Maitre on October 26, 1977. She is survived by a daughter Sallie Jo Maitre and her family. A private graveside service was held at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue, Michigan with The Rev. Father Dwight Ezop of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating.
