Sandra Wenger

Died Saturday, June 19, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family. Sandra was born on December 12, 1943, in Lansing, MI, the daughter of Donnell G. and Rosalie H. (Neve) Bumb. She had been an area resident since 1972. She was a 1963 graduate of Lakeview High School and then attended Kellogg Community College. On November 11, 1962, she was united in marriage to Robert Alan Wenger, Sr., who survives. Sandra worked for K-Mart from 1973 to 1976, then Battle Creek Central High School from 2000 to 2006. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Cub Scouts Leader, Unit Commissioner for the Boy Scouts Troop 393 (Retired), Women’s ABWA and Ex- Royal Order of Moose in Marshall. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery, sewing, working on jigsaw puzzles, reading, spending time with family, especially her great grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Tina Marie Mills of Battle Creek, Mark Alan Wenger of Vermontville, Jason Charles Wenger of Battle Creek and Shannon Lynn Surfus of Fremont, IN; Brothers and sisters, Karen Herring of Battle Creek, Patricia Stebleton of Battle Creek, Linda Benjamin of Anderson, SC, Kenneth Bailey  of Marshall, Rick Bailey of Battle Creek and Jay Johnson of Pewamo, MI ; grandchildren, Amanda Walters, Kortnie Axtel, Daniel Mills, Bethany Williams, Sarah Wenger, Brandy Belen, Joshua Wenger, Nathaniel Wenger, Andrea Bresler, Robert Wenger III, Brandon Wenger, Michael Prochno, James Prochno and Kristyna Henderson; great grandchildren, Skyanna, Jaiden, Maria, Christen, Abagail, Trevor, Karlee, Malorie, Tyler, Denver, Archer, Harper, Paisley, Bentley, Matthew, Rylee, Jackson, Giovanni, Katya, Quinnci, Braydee and Elliott. She Was preceded in death by an infant son Robert Alan Wenger II in 1965. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 25, 2021, at the funeral home with The Rev. Robert Schwartz officiating.
