Sherrie Latetia (Sexton) Giljum of Ganado, TX passed away on May 16, 2026, in Battle Creek, MI.

Sherrie was born in Fort Worth, TX to Marion Ray Sexton and Bobby Jean (Crouch) Sexton on November 23, 1950.

She enjoyed playing Scrabble, working in the yard, cooking, and walking.

Sherrie is survived by her identical twin sister Sueann Hagan of Port Orange, FL; her sister Sandra Blanchard of Sequim, WA; daughter Olivia Moffett (John Moffett) of Battle Creek, MI and grandchildren Katie Begley (Ryan Begley), Natalie Rowland, and Aiden Moffett. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Laura Hagan, Baer Blanchard, Amy Blanchard, Andre Blanchard, and Alex Blanchard and a great grand-child, Rory Begley. In addition, she is survived by stepsisters Liberty Svoboda, Rosemary Baker, and Kathy Watson. She is also survived by her stepbrothers Raymond and Billy Bazinet.

She was preceded in death by her partner of 9 years, Ronnie Simicek, her parents Marion Sexton and Bobby Sexton, her brothers Shane Sexton and Scott Sexton.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Sherrie Giljum’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Sherrie felt heartbroken that children had to suffer from cancer and any donations made to wipe out childhood cancer would bring her great honor.
