Steve John Haiduk Jr., age 68 , went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sat. 5/24/2025. He passed peacefully at home with his life-partner Sharon Ireland by his side. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness towards anyone he called friend. There are too many to count and too many to mention. Stevie was born on 11/09/1956 to Steve John Haiduk Sr. and Sophie Haiduk. Stevie loved Corvettes and held campfires nightly, year round. He loved the Green Bay Packers, darts, cards, the Boston Celtics and Busch beer.
On Sundays he was quarterback for Post Addition’s Hamilton Park team. He would bring the ball we called “the duke”. Otherwise, he was a homebody. He brought trash cans to the curb for neighbors and shoveled drives, sometimes at 4 in the morning. Stevie worked at Kellogg Co. for an impressive 32 years helping out in many different areas of the business. He retired from the company in 2017.
Stevie loved Sharon. They met in 4th grade, dated at South Eastern Jr. High, then reconnected for life in 1990. They fed the flock daily with good food and nourishment, even for the squirrels and cats.
Stevie is survived by Sharon Ireland, his loving siblings: Tom Haiduk, Mary Dove, Fran Klein, Diane Nelson and Bobby Haiduk. Special nephew Dale Dove and many cherished nieces and nephews and their children. Stevie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Tony.
Appreciation goes to dedicated hero and friend Adam Johnson. A guardian angel in our time of need.
The celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m. at Sharon and Stevie’s on June 21st, 2025. 129 Euclid St. Battle Creek, MI 49014.
