Steven "Smitty" Smith

Steven P. Smith, 68, departed his earthly home on 02/10/2023. Born in Battle Creek, Mi., the 6th child of LeRoy Smith, Jr. and Agnes L. (MacKinder) Smith. Smitty lived and died on his own terms. He enjoyed listening to music, talk radio, and completing crossword puzzles. He was very analytical, informed, and opinionated. Smitty possessed a unique perspective on life and had a sharp intelligent wit and humor that endeared him to those around him.

Leaving behind to mourn his passing are his dear friends Tom and Sue Cramutolo and their family as well as the Ted Sweet family, that welcomed him in as a true family member. Also, he leaves behind his dear friend, Dan Cooley of Kalamazoo and his beloved canine companion, Lily.

Steven will be inurned at the National Cemetery in Fort Custer with full Military Honors.
