Sue Crandell, age 81, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away and went to be with Jesus in Heaven on December 13, 2025. Sue was born on July 17, 1944, to Hazel and Myron Beimfohr. Sue was a graduate of Lakeview High School and went on to earn her degree from Western Michigan University. She built a long and successful career at Kellogg Company as a financial manager, where she worked for over twenty years with dedication and pride. Sue had a deep love for Golden Retrievers and was passionate about breeding and showing dogs as well as having many at home. Her home was always overflowing with the joyful energy of her beloved companions as well as the many cats she took in. Known for her fierce spirit and compassionate heart, Sue touched many lives with her humor, generosity, and unwavering support. She welcomed others with open arms and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. She was "the girl". She is lovingly remembered by her sons Jeff (Courtney) Zalner and Tom (Wendy) Zalner; stepdaughter Sherri (Tim) Pascoe; grandchildren: Kali Zalner, Jessica (Derrick) Elizondo, Caleb (Ashley) Trumbull, Nathan (Cara) Gay, Brian (Nicole) Gay and Kennedy Wheeler-Kinne. As well as several great grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by her husband Max Crandell, sister Kay Dingwall, mother Hazel Beimfohr and father Myron Beimfohr, as well as many fur-babies. Sue was an unforgettable woman who left a lasting impression on anyone who encountered her and greatly changed many lives. She will be deeply missed.
