Susan (Sue) Westworth, age 72 of Battle Creek, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born November 5, 1953, and was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek, graduating from Pennfield High School in 1971.
Sue was a Girl Scout Leader for several years and enjoyed working at Pleasantview Elementary School where her son and daughter attended, helping wherever she was needed. She also was the Vice-President of the P.T.A. at Pleasantview. One of her proudest moments was when she received an Honorary Award from the Board of Education for starting an Elementary School Reading Program.
Sue’s working career included Transamerica Insurance Company, Archway Cookies and Post Credit Union where she retired from in 2018.
On July 18, 1987. Sue was united in marriage to the love of her life, Paul Westworth, which created a blended family of four beautiful children.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Donna Scott.
Sue is survived by her husband Paul; brother Tom (Janet) Scott; sisters: Diana (Craig) Heimberger and Teresa Daly; children: Patrick Westworth, Shelly Moore, Gary (Cindy) Moore and Tony (Ellie) Westworth; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
Per Sue’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Nick Snellgrove of Grace Community Church officiating. www.henryfuneralhome.org
