Theodore H. “Ted” Kellogg II of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. Born on June 22, 1949, Ted lived a full and generous life marked by hard work, loyalty, and love for family and friends.
Ted proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1972, an experience that shaped his lifelong sense of discipline and dedication. After his service, he built a career as a skilled carpenter, contributing to many projects in Colorado and in his beloved hometown of Battle Creek.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Carmen Kellogg; daughters, Mary (Brian) Wilson and Michelle (Nathan) Fairrow; and stepsons, Troy (Petra Valeri) Skinner and Todd (Dawn) Skinner. Ted was a proud grandfather to Christopher Talbot, Brady Wilson, Grace Wilson, Nathan Fairrow, and Joshua Fairrow, and a loving step-grandfather to Morgan Hayworth, Abby Skinner, Ava Skinner, and Shaw Skinner. He is also survived by his sister, Karyl (Jim) Childs, his brother, Tim (Lori) Kellogg, and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore H. Kellogg and Martha L. Kellogg.
Ted loved Michigan through and through — from summer days spent with friends at Sandy Pines Resort to cheering on his favorite teams, the Tigers and the Lions. He found great joy in simple pleasures: a well-built project, time with family, and adventures like two memorable Caribbean cruises shared with Carmen.
Ted will be remembered for his steady presence, sense of humor, and kindness. His life was a reflection of dedication, craftsmanship, and deep affection for those he loved.
