Fort Mill, SC and formerly of Battle Creek

Todd Brice Ray of Fort Mill, South Carolina, formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan, died July 7, 2022 from a car accident returning to Fort Mill after visiting family and friends in Battle Creek.  Todd was born on September 30, 1966 to Robert Brice and Joanna (Joby) Ray, in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Todd graduated from Springfield High School in 1984 where he participated in baseball, basketball, golf and football, he was on the Honor Roll, National Honor Society, was Winter Carnival King, attended Boys State and was Senior Class President.  Todd graduated from Kellogg Community College and Western Michigan University with a degree in Computer Science.

Todd attended Lakeview Baptist Church while living in Battle Creek.

Todd was a devoted father, son, brother and friend.  We will all remember his infectious laugh, smile and zest for life.

His working years were as a salesman for cablevision companies.

Todd enjoyed NASCAR, University of Michigan Wolverines (at his mother’s insistence), Detroit Red Wings, WMU Broncos, and the Charlotte Panthers and Hornets.  He played on the Tega Cay golf league in Fort Mill.

Todd is survived by “His Girls”,  Madaline Irene and Marleigh Brice Ray, ex-wife Mickey, Mother Joanna Ray, sister Tammie (Tim) Faber, nephews Travis (Paige) Faber, Tyler (Taylor) Faber, and their children Haidyn and Blake; his Aunt, Linda (Dave) Yeric, Cousins, Angie (Rob) Price and their children Chelsea and Cassie Price, and David (Tammi) Yeric, fiancé Sandy Green of Spartanburg, SC and his dog Honey.

His father Robert, who died on July 7, 2008, welcomed Todd to his new home.  Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents Doyle and Virginia Worthington, and Robert and Jean Turner.

Cremation has taken place,  the family will receive friends at a Celebration of Life visitation on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

As a gift of Life Donor, Todd gave the most precious gift anyone could…..the gift to save the lives of others.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for Todd’s daughters may be sent to Joanna Ray.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
