Wanda Ashby

Wanda Jean Ashby, age 91, of Bronson, died Friday, December 31, 2021, at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital. She was born May 11, 1930, in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Rollo L. and Gertrude V. (Harry) Miller. A graduate of Lakeview High School, she enjoyed fishing, bowling, and vacationing in Florida with her husband. On April 9, 1949, Wanda married Donald C. Ashby, Sr. and he preceded her in death on November 9, 1995. She was also preceded by a son Donald C. Ashby Jr, two brothers: Rollo Miller Jr. and Vern Miller, sister Joan Willison and her parents. Wanda is survived by two sons: Ronnie J. Ashby of Marshall and Randy L. (Tammy) Ashby of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren: Kim Ashby, Jamie Bains, Charity Ashby, Ronnie J. Ashby II, Ronald Ashby, Marlana Vance, John Ashby and Stacey Phillips; sixteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions be given to the Calhoun County Animal Center, 165 S. Union Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014. Arrangements by the Richard A.
