Wanda Joy Branson Hartford

Wanda Joy Branson Hartford, 86, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, after a very long and hard-fought battle with cancer, at the Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on April 22, 1939 in Battle Creek, Michigan, daughter of Ward and Dorothy (Culmer) Branson. She attended Lakeview High School and night school in Battle Creek to attain her diploma. She worked at Robert Hall Clothing, KHS Air Freight, Clyde Hanger Plumbing, and was office manager at Central Piping and also at Dean Brooks Plumbing in Marshall, Michigan.

Wanda liked baking, cooking, crocheting, gardening, knitting, and doing crafts. She also loved to dance and taught dancing from 1970 thru 1990. She liked playing cards with friends and family especially cribbage. She took up golf at age 70, loved playing and excelled in it.

She is survived by her husband Brian Lee Hartford of Alamo, TX; daughter Pamela Louise (Glenn) Duhe' of Hammond, LA; step-sons Mark Hartford of St. Charles, MO and Greg Hartford of Battle Creek, MI; grand-daughters Michelle Ann (Mark) Accord of Portland, OR and Melora Louise (Patrick) McClendon of Loranger, LA; 7 great-grandchildren Jarrod and Shawna of Portland, OR and Ava, Amelia, Kinsley, Raegan, and Emery of Loranger, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Carol and Marie (Darwin) Angus, son Paul Lawrence Stanton and step-son James Hartford.
