Vivian Schoonard

Vivian D. Schoonard, age 99, of Battle Creek, passed away on February 7, 2020 at Medilodge of Marshall. She was born on October 8, 1920 in Eaton Rapids, MI., the daughter of Norval and Charlotte (Huff) Smith. Vivian lived most of her life in Charlotte, MI. where she attended school through the tenth grade, then moved to Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek Academy. She was united in marriage on August 25, 1940 in Battle Creek to Donald Schoonard, he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, daughter; Judith Cannon, brothers; Martin Smith and Robert Collins. Vivian was a member and Deaconess at the Battle Creek Seventh Day Adventist Tabernacle. Surviving are her son; Stephen Schoonard of Battle Creek, and three grandchildren. In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place with inurnment at Ceresco Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org.
