Angela Blackburn

Angela Ann Blackburn, age 59, of Sherwood, MI., passed into the mercy, comfort and advocacy of our Lord Jesus Christ on January 20, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer.  Angie is remembered by those who knew her as a gentle and benevolent soul.  She enjoyed cooking her own specialty dishes and desserts to pass at special occasions and holidays.  She was a fan of WWE wrestling, and enjoyed watching horror movies and cheesy SYFY flicks.  Angie loved gardening and travel.  She fulfilled many roles to her loved ones in her fifty-nine years.  She is the devoted wife to husband Charles Blackburn, he survives.  They had twenty-four blessed years together.  Angie is a beloved mother to her sons; Nicholas Shaffer of Dallas, TX., Chad Upston of Sturgis, Eric Upston and his wife Frankie (Isaac) Upston of Richland.  She was a doting and indulging grandmother to Quinn and Oliver Upston.  Angela the loving daughter is survived by her mother; Mary Kollmorgan and stepfather Walter Kollmorgan of Battle Creek.  Angie the adored sister is survived by siblings; Lori Duttlinger of Sturgis, Ronald “Butch” Duttlinger Jr. along with wife Cari (Hiner) Duttlinger of Dalton, GA., Cheryl “Sherry” Wing along with her husband Paul Wing of Burlington, and Thomas “Tommy” Duttlinger along with wife Patricia “Trish” Duttlinger of Homer.  She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved and cared deeply about.  The family will receive friends on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.    In compliance with the current State of Michigan orders, the number of persons in the funeral home is limited to 25, and mask are required of all in attendance.  Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church of Battle Creek, Pastor Roy Henry Officiating.  In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.henryfuneralhome.org
