In August of 1963, Richard and Shirley Henry purchased an "old english tudor" residence at 703 Capital Avenue, S.W. and began renovations and remodeling which allowed the official opening of the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on January 1, 1964
Since that time, numerous additions have been added and adjacent properties acquired which enabled expansion of the funeral home to its present state.
The well maintained Old English Tudor building and well lighted parking area with entrances from both Capital Avenue, S.W. and Grand Boulevard is a home of which we are most proud.
We are best able to serve our families from one central location with exceptional facilities and staff, where professional care, arrangements, selection and total staff are present to give outstanding service to those families who deserve the finest in funeral service.
Funeral personnel were very compassionate, friendly & understanding from beginning to end. Also, my father was laid out in such a way that his face was turned toward us a little. It looked more natural, like he was sleeping. Our special requests were immediately completed. Couldn't ask for a nicer facility!
