Donald Krauss

Donald Frederick Krauss, died March 2, 2022 at Glenn Arbor Place in Battle Creek, Michigan.  He was born on July 3, 1931 in Sebewaing, Michigan.  He is survived by his beloved wife; Mary (Smith) Krauss, loving children;  Linda (Krauss) Seefeld, and Dr. Brian (Jennifer) Krauss, grandchildren; Melissa (Andrew) Greer, Jessica Seefeld, Heidi (Eric) Westendorp, Peter Krauss, Samuel Krauss, Jared (Rita) Augustine, and Karen (Dan) Freeborn.  Donald graduated from high school in 1949 in Sebewaing, Michigan and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  After serving, he attended Wayne State University in Detroit, MI., where he received his degree in Mortuary Science in 1957.  He continued to work in the funeral business for 37 years, retiring  in 1993 as the owner and operator of Krauss Funeral Home in Birch Run, MI.  Donald was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in Burch Run, Michigan Funeral Directors Association, and St. Mark Lutheran Church in Battle Creek.  Private funeral service will be held at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home,  Pastor Jack Langfeldt of St. Mark Lutheran Church Officiating, with entombment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.  Memorial and condolences may be shared with the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
