Doris Tice

Doris M. Tice, age 97, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Bridgewater Healthcare Center in Carmel, Indiana. She was born February 8, 1923 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Fay and Lola (Maurer) Juckett. A 1940 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Doris was a founding member of Southside Bible Church where she has remained active and worked as a receptionist for Dr. Richard Bloch for over 20 years. On April 5, 1942 she was married to Paul F. Tice, Jr. who preceded her in death on December 23, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Ronald Wayne Tice. She is survived by her son: James P. (Nancy) Tice of Indianapolis, IN and daughter Joy (Larry) Allen of Battle Creek; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and her brother Lynn Juckett of Battle Creek. A private graveside service was held at Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Doris was a good friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed all types of needlework as well as keeping her yard and flower gardens beautiful.
