Frances Pesti

Frances Pesti, age 94, of Palmetto, Fl., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She was a loving mother and grandmother, as well as a dear neighbor and friend to many. Born to Issac and Bertha Whited of Tennessee, Frances moved to Battle Creek, Michigan, with her family when she was 16. She married the love of her life, Frank Pesti, on July 10, 1963. Frances spent 53 years with Frank, before he passed. Together, they built a home full of love and laughter for multiple generations of family and friends. Big meals, big gatherings, and big laughs were a regular occurrence in Frances’ well-kept home. Loved ones who precede Frances in death include her husband Frank, her son Jerry Hand, her brother Bill Whited, her sister June Bartlett, her brother Larry Whited, her niece Robin Conant, her son-in-law Doyal Woody, and her son-in-law Robert Kingsley. Frances is survived by her children Sue Kingsley, Kathy (Ron) Vincent, and Victoria Woody; her stepdaughter Evelyn (Richard) Barve; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Additionally, she will miss her best friend Emma Pulley — a fellow Kellogg’s retiree — and Sharon Pesti, who was more of a sister than sister-in-law. Funeral services will be held at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Monday, July 12th, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Travis Davis of Family Altar Chapel officiating. Private interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family requests that those who wish to make a donation in Frances’ honor, donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
