Frank Quinn Iii

Having lived a full life, and being in the company of close family, Frank Sevier Quinn III died peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born June 26, 1936 to Lillian and Frank Quinn, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Frank had two half-brothers who preceded him in death. Frank is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two children, Jennifer, and Frank and his wife Mandy; and one grandchild, Isobel. He was preceded in death by his parents.  Growing up in Cincinnati, Frank was blessed to live nearby to creeks, railroad tracks, and other wild places where a boy could get lost for hours exploring and learning about the world around him.  Frank’s college years were spent at a variety of institutions before earning his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University (go Bears) and never losing his lifelong love of learning as he continued to expand his mind.  Frank and Carol met in Battle Creek in 1966 when they were renters in the same apartment building, and married in 1968. They were married 55 years.  Although born and raised in the Baptist faith, Frank converted to Catholicism in the early 2000s and did his best to follow the faith and celebrate the best qualities of a religious life.  Frank resided on Terry Ct in Battle Creek for more than 50 years, and loved his home with its large fireplace and the views of wildlife in the backyard. Frank enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and kept binoculars and animal field guides nearby. His faithful companion, Snoopy, accompanied Frank on many a walk outside around the house.  While he loved his home, he had many adventures with Carolyn to many different countries, and would bring back the most unique souvenirs.  Frank loved his family, his friends, and his neighbors.  Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Centrica Care Navigators (hospice) provided expert care & comfort when most needed, and the family encourages philanthropic donations be made to them.  Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
