Lee Burgett

Lee Burgett, 81, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Florida on December 7, 2021.  He was cherished by his family and will be greatly missed by so many.  Lee is survived by his three children, Randy (Tammie), Dale (Jill), and Jim (Trish) along with his grandchildren Tara (James) Barber, Tiffany (Geoff) Parker, Shawnna (Brian) Figgins, Justin (Amanda) Burgett and Levi (Danielle) Burgett and his three great grandchildren, Addy, Jackson and JJ and his brother, Lynn (Sue) Burgett and sister Elaine Hargus.

Born on November 29, 1940 to Victor and Dorothy Burgett in Battle Creek, Michigan, Lee graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1958.  Lee married the love of his life, Carol Jean Goos, on December 5, 1959, she preceded him in death on February 6, 2005.  Lee worked at Post Cereals for 37 years and after retirement in 1995,  he and Carol traveled and became snowbirds.  They enjoyed all of the friends they had in both Battle Creek and Live Oaks RV Park.  He valued and appreciated his church family at Fulton Christian Church.  He loved fishing, working in his yard, playing cards, and watching the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings. But most of all, he loved attending all of the various sporting events of his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister, Eileen Elliott.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the funeral home, Pastor Paul Parker officiating.  Private interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
