Robert C. Beller Jr., 77, of Battle Creek, Michigan, died peacefully Monday, February 6, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Bob was born January 15, 1946, in San Francisco, California the son of Robert and Ellenore Beller. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1964 and joined the Marine Corps in 1965. In 1966, Bob married the love of his life, Paula Jo Hutchins, whom he met 60 years ago on a blind date set up by their parents. Together, they owned Beller’s Dixie Market, Beller’s Place (Bob’s dream supper club) and finally, Beller’s Upton Avenue Market. Work was fun for Bob, especially joking with his many customers. After retiring from being a business owner, Bob worked for Henkel Auto Group for over 15 years. Bob had such a fun love of life, enjoying spending time with his family: three daughters, Kim, Kellie (Brandon) and Danielle (Richard), along with his precious grandchildren, CieAira and Matthew. Bob was a loyal Detroit Lions fan. He had an absolute love of music, being a talented drummer since he was 16 years old. Bob continued to play to his favorite Luke Bryan CD until recently. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He will be dearly missed. As for Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral, but a celebration of Bob’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to cover final expenses via a GoFundMe fundraiser, Bob Beller’s Memorial Fund or donations to the Alzheimer’s Association will be appreciated.
