Thomas Rowe

Thomas V. Rowe, age 74, of Battle Creek, passed away on January 19, 2021 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence.  He was born on September 27, 1946 in Battle Creek, the son of Donald and Margaret (Cartwright) Rowe.  Thomas graduated in 1964 from Harper Creek High School.  He helped with the daily operations of his family’s business; Rowes Country Kitchen in Battle Creek.  He worked as a cutting press operator for thirty seven years at Post Cereals, retiring in 2001.  Thomas previously attended First Assembly of God Church in Battle Creek and was an active member at Cornerstone Community Church.  Thomas enjoyed fishing, golfing, riding motorcycles, traveling, and especially spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother; Donald Rowe.  Thomas was united in marriage on August 6, 1966 to Evelyn Little, they celebrated 54 years of marriage.  He is survived by his wife, children; Gary (Kim) Rowe and Karen (Matthew) Swygart both of Battle Creek, brother; Jack (Betty) Rowe of Battle Creek, sister; Shirley Ferguson of Cleburne, TX., sister-in-law; Joyce (Jim) Witt of Bedford, VA., grandchildren: Tara Rowe, Ricardo and Victoria Quiroga, several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Private Funeral Services will take place with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Funeral service will be live streamed on Thomas’ obituary page at www.henryfuneralhome.org In compliance with the current State of Michigan orders, the number of persons in the funeral home is limited to 25, and masks are required of all in attendance.  Memorial contributions in Thomas’ memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
