He was employed as a pipe fitter for the Kellogg Company from 1951 until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. After moving into Lakeview Assisted Living in 2015, Ed could routinely be heard entertaining a crowd. Ed was also an avid sportsman, including fishing and trap shooting. Hobbies throughout his life included photography, playing cards, bowling, and softball. He was always up for a game of cribbage at his local hangout – Sweetwater Donuts. You could always spot Papa Pete, in the middle of the action, waving a green towel courtside or on the track during football games cheering loudly. Ed was also a civil war buff, and many knew him as “Mr. Trivia”. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, son; Mark Petersen, and sister; Lillian Wolfe.
