Susan Lewis

Susan J. Lewis, age 88, of Battle Creek, passed away on September 1, 2021, at Bronson Battle Creek.  She was born on June 19, 1933 in Marshall, Michigan, the daughter of George and Marion (Snow) Quick.  Susan graduated from Marshall High School in 1951, then moved to Battle Creek where she received her associates degree from Argubright Business College.  She was a homemaker and attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church.  Susan was an artist who enjoyed painting and working with ceramics.  She enjoyed taking walks and going on Sunday car rides, traveling, and playing the piano.  Susan was united in marriage on March 16, 1954, in Battle Creek to Gene Lewis, he survives.  Also surviving are her children; Brad (Karen) Lewis of Battle Creek, Carolyn (Jim) Rossi of Chattanooga, TN., Curt (Kristi) Lewis of Houston, TX., Cindy (Harold) Hill of Battle Creek, Jeff Lewis of Augusta, MI., brother; George (Bonnie) Quick of Levering, MI., thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  Susan was preceded in death by her parents, and sister; Marianne Williams.  Committal Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Pastor Travis Davis officiating.  Memorial contributions in Susan’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
